This traveling college student has a lot of school spirit, through the good times and the bad.
736 days before yesterday was the last time WKU won a football game. It was September 20, 2008, against Murray State. That was my freshman year of college. I am now a junior.
Yesterday changed all that. The whole time I was refreshing ESPN from my iPod, I kept hearing people say things like "I don't care about football" or "They're just going to mess up like they always do." There was no confidence. So when we won, I don't think my excitement was wholly understood. I literally went running into my hallway screaming that we wo
n...then called my mom jumping up and down...then went downstairs jumping up and down...then calmed down for a bit before heading to the stadium to welcome the team back.
I had basically forgotten what it was like to win, what the campus atmosphere felt like after a win. I've always been proud to be a Hilltopper, but yesterday I really let it shine.
"Whose got it better than us? Nooooooooooooobody!!!" Keep it up boys!
